Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed to deliver your service, where you have agreed, or where the law requires it.

  • UK universities and admissions teams we apply to on your behalf, including your application documents.
  • Visa and immigration process providers, such as visa application centres and TB testing clinics, when you are at the visa stage.
  • Our financing partner, MyStudyHelp, only if you ask about tuition or deposit financing. Lending decisions are made independently by them.
  • Service providers that work for us under written agreements, such as CRM, email and messaging platforms, website hosting, and analytics.

International transfers

Because you are applying to study abroad, your data will be sent outside Nigeria, mainly to the United Kingdom and to countries where our service providers operate. Where we transfer your data, we do so only as the NDPA allows. We rely on the destination’s level of data protection, contractual safeguards with the recipient, or your informed consent. A university receiving your application will handle it under its own privacy notice, which it should give you.

06

Cookies & advertising technologies

Our pages use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

Essential

Keep the site secure and make forms work. These do not need consent.

Analytics

Google Analytics tells us how visitors use the page so we can improve it.

Advertising

The Meta pixel, which helps us measure how our ads perform and show relevant ads.

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner when you first visit, and change your choice at any time through your browser settings or the banner’s preferences link.

07

Messages & marketing

After you complete the eligibility form, we will contact you by WhatsApp, phone and email about your enquiry. If you agreed to marketing, we will also send you a series of emails about studying in the UK, such as course choice, costs, scholarships and intake deadlines.

You can stop marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, replying STOP to a WhatsApp message, or contacting us using the details below. Service messages that relate to an application already in progress may still be sent.

WhatsApp is operated by Meta. When you message us there, Meta processes your data under its own terms and privacy policy.

08

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above.

  • Eligibility enquiries that do not become a client file: kept only for as long as we need to follow up with you, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Client application files: kept for the length of our service, and afterwards only for as long as we need them to meet record-keeping, tax and other legal obligations.
  • Marketing preferences and unsubscribe records: kept so that we honour your choice.

When we no longer need the data, we delete or anonymise it.

09

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to staff who need it, and agreements with providers that handle data for us. No online system is completely secure. If a breach affecting your data creates a risk to you, we will notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

10

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • Delete your data, where we no longer need it or have no lawful reason to keep it.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format where the law allows.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew.
  • Not be subject to solely automated decisions with significant effects.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 13. We may need to verify your identity first, and we aim to respond as soon as possible. Some rights have exceptions, for example where we must keep records by law. If so, we will explain why.

11

Under-18s

Our services are intended for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the form and give consent on your behalf. If we learn that we hold a child’s data without that consent, we will delete it.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and where a change is significant we will tell you directly.
